High-Octane Meets Hospitality in Chinatown at Petrol Head
Horsepower and happy hour can justifiably live in the same sentence as Las Vegas welcomes a revolutionary cocktail lounge, Petrol Head, off Spring Mountain and Decatur. A new hidden gem for auto enthusiasts, the 4,500-square-foot lounge is tucked into the southwest corner of the Spring Oaks Shopping Center, offering indoor-outdoor space, a semi-private lot, and a vibrant setting to enjoy a drink, belt out some karaoke, or find yourself in a late-night conversation passionately dissecting turbo setups.
From the moment you walk in Petrol Head, it gives the feeling of a stylized love letter to car culture. Design details nod to racing, while motorsport memorabilia and curated car art line the walls. And let’s not leave out the impressive lift installed right next to the entrance and holding up a widebody 370Z Drift Car by Gatsby Racing.
Das Erbe Collective was behind the lounge’s grand opening event. Known for curating memorable automotive experiences, Das Erbe turned the launch into a full-throttle celebration, complete with a head-turning car lineup in its separate lot, raffles throughout the night, and a lively crowd that stayed well past Choice Sound’s last song that played from the decks set up underneath that same 370Z.
Guests were treated to flavor-packed bites from Puradak Chicken, offering their signature Korean fried chicken, while Tous Les Jours Cafe served treats to top off a sweet evening. With drinks flowing and prizes being called out, the night felt like the start of something the city’s been missing: a dedicated home for car culture beyond the parking lot. Whether you're into drift builds or daily drivers, chasing lap times or just good vibes, Petrol Head is now the go-to spot for Las Vegas’s growing community of car lovers.
The owner of Petrol Head, Marvin Santamaria, worked the room with hugs and high fives alongside his expecting wife Paige. “Unlike all the other spots in our portfolio, one of our top focuses is camaraderie,” shared Santamaria who also oversees operations for the 30+ locations under Kanji Corporation.
From the curated atmosphere to the finely tuned engines and the elevated spirits, every detail was touched by collaboration or sponsorship: Das Erbe’s vision helped shape the ambience; Paddock Auto Club and Gatsby Racing brought horsepower and heritage to life; Gears & Grinds and the Social Exchange Group for helping cultivate a culture of connection and community. Beverages and libations were a journey of their own, expertly poured and generously provided by Red Bull, Heineken, El Bandido Yankee, Green River Distilling Co., LALO Spirits, Engine Gin, and Bar Men. And for those finishing touches of refinement and celebration, thank you to Moët Hennessy, Breakthru Beverage Nevada, and SG Wine & Spirits.
